my first road trip!

Two days ago, my group of Singaporean friends(12 of us)drove up to a town in Vancouver Island called Ucluelet.We drove up in two cars to some ferry terminal and get this right,drove the car up onto the ferry.So cool!Then we got off the car and spent about an hour and 45 mins on the ferry.It was freezing cold on the upper deck of the ferry cos of the strong winds but we were too busy taking photos of the beautiful islands the ferry passed by.That was pretty nice but the car ride to our motel was horrendous.The three hour car ride was full of sharp turns, tons of uphills and downhills and Ignatius was a speed rider man..but he was in gd control of the car most of the time so luckily no accidents.At the end of it all,we all suffered from motion sickness and nearly wanted to puke.Luckily we didn't!It was late by the time we got to the motel so we just washed up and went to bed.
The next day, we woke up early to get breakfast.We had toast with ham and bacon.Yummy!Then we set off for our whale watching trip.It cost us about 60plus per person but it sure was worth it!We managed to see three kinds of whales:the gray whale,the killer whale and another whale which I cant remember its name.We also saw like tons of sea lions tanning on the rocks.I havent seen so many sea lions in my entire life man!It was kinda scary actually..seems as though that area was their territory or something. After that, we drove back to the ferry terminal(another episode of a roller coaster car ride) and we had to wait a few hours for the ferry cos the earlier one was full already.On the way to our hostels,we drove to Safeway,this huge grocery shop to buy groceries.Goodness,this is the first time I ever shopped for groceries on my own man.Guess there is always a first time for everything,just like how I learnt to cook instant noodles a week back!=)So proud of myself!Think my mummy will be proud of me too!=)
Think this trip is helping me to become a little more independent which is a good thing..I am looking forward to more road trips man..
