A busy but good weekend..

I'm taking a short break in between studying for my two midterms to update my blog!My form of relaxation..=)I got a Health Psychology midterm test this tuesday and a Management and Organizational Behaviour midterm on wednesday.Both so content heavy,how bad is that man!Hence, I could not really enjoy my weekend as much as I would like to. Friday was really horrible cos all my friends went shopping at Metrotown but I resisted all temptation and decided to stay in my room to study..I'm so impressed by my strong determination..hah..And yes I did study two chapters!On saturday, I told myself I shall not be a loser and hibernate in my room so off to the apple festival I went!The weather was amazingly wonderful-sunny and relatively warm..the perfect day for going out!We have been really lucky many times in that there was always good weather on the days we were out and it would rain when we did not have anything planned for that day. Really a blessing...=)
The apple festival just had so many varieties of the different apples for sale(about 60 different kinds I think). Apple juice, apple pies, apple chips and even apple trees were also up for sale.It was pretty neat considering that we dun have such a thing back home, but the apples were not cheap at all..ha..$5 for a bag of maybe 5-7 apples depending on the size. That is like a dollar for one apple le..ha..so I din't buy anything and was just contented taking free apple chips off the counter.Yummy!
I also attended Mass with Daniel at the church in which Natalia is part of the choir. It was Dan's first time after so long..I'm happy he did attend Mass with me!=) and that church's interior really reminded me of Holy Cross church. I miss attending Mass there together with my whole family man..

The whole lot of us also got invited to Selena's aunt's place for dinner-a traditional Malaysian dinner comprising butter rice, fried noodles, curry chicken and potato, fried vegetables in oyster sauce, duck and even the dessert that my dad loves-pulo itam?(not sure how u spell it but it's the black dessert where u can add coconut in it?)Food was simply delicious and heartwarming cos we all miss rice with authentic asian dishes and the company was great too!Selena's family was really warm and nice..and I enjoyed listening to how her grandmother was conversing with everyone in Cantonese.Sadly, I still can't speak this wonderful dialect even though I hang out with Hong Kong boy Joe alot..haha..But he has promised to teach me the "cong shang yun xiao" theme song by Eason Chan!So I will sing it for u sis when I get back home ok?hah...
After dinner, we played the game Cranium which Chee Kian just bought from Metrotown on friday. It's a great game and you can have many people playing the game. Still remember the first time I played it was at the FOC camp this year.We broke up into groups of three and I ended up with Chris which was so funny cos we became known as the "bimbo team"! Somehow, we've already established nicknames for some people like Cinnamon bun joe, fugly chris,new cool guy yanxiang, bitchy chee kian and of cos the bimbotic me!Can't believe that I am referred to as a bimbo man..ha..
This game involves picking categories such as spelling words backwords, molding an object with the plasticine,drawing something with our eyes closed,humming a tune, or fill in the blanks. Some of the questions were awfully difficult for example, what does tumid mean? And we found out thru this game that Chris cant spell the word 'liaison'(Goodness!)-She spelt out the word with such great confidence and she was so certain she said it correctly somemore!Also, Selena cant spell 'biscuit' backwards and Mabel also can't spell 'mistletoe' backwards.Cass and CK should never be in the same group cos they will only cause the group to lose..considering that Cass cannot pronounce the word 'Vanilla' and Chee Kian is basically cheena..and he admits that too!It was so late by the time we got home,so I couldnt really study much so I told myself to wake up early the next day(Sunday)to mug!
