My second Thanksgiving dinner...

More appetizers, turkey and pies...That was part of my second thanksgiving dinner too..ha..
Appetizer: pita bread with pumpkin+macademia nuts and nacho chips with crab&anchovy dip.Main Course: Turkey, gravy, peas, mashed potatoes, stuffings, buns and pumpkins.
Dessert: Pumpkin pies, apple pies and chocolate pies (simply the best I've tasted!)with ice-cream and/or whipped cream.Trevor really loves the chocolate pies which his mum bakes so he was joking about how it tasted really bad and I definitely would not want to try it..but of cos it looked so attractive that I had to taste it!ha..The couple-Trevor and Lindsay invited me and another Norwegian gal called Marit to their Thanksgiving dinner. We did not expect them to be so young! We expected them to be an elderly couple so when Trevor came to pick us up from the skytrain station, we even thought he was Lindsay's younger brother! They're only in their twenties and they have a beautiful house. Lindsay even decorated the dinner table with maple leaves, candles, small pumpkins and glittering stones and it looked really awesome..Trevor and Lindsay invited their own parents and siblings over and it was difficult at first cos Marit and I felt so excluded from this family dinner since everyone knew each other. But after awhile,we realised that their family members were really friendly especially Lindsay's father who kept conversing with us.We even took out a map to point out the location of our countries!It was really wonderful to be able to share my country's culture, history, economics and festivals with people from other countries. In return, I gained alot of knowledge about the Norwegian and Canadian culture as well.

By the time I was done with my second helping, I was terribly full man..but truly satisfied.=) The best part was I even got to take home a slice of the apple pie for my breakfast the next day. I can't believe I loved the apple pie man..especially when I don't remember liking it back home..ha..
