A day spent with Dan and Selena..

The rest of the guys went to Seattle to shop yesterday so only me, Dan and Selena were left in Vancouver..We planned to go Selena's place for lunch and then watch Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. I dunno why I suddenly had this urge to wanna watch all three LOTR movies again.ha..must be under the influence of Sel and Dan..who kept talking about it at Natalia's place the other time. But Selena's place is really far away from school..but nevertheless, Dan and I met at 11am that morning and took a bus, train and then bus to her place.
Selena was still sleeping when we got there so her aunt had to wake her up to tell her that her friends had arrived..ha..Her aunt cooked delicious lunch for us comprising of yummy chicken and potato curry, veggies and tofu with the leftover carbonara sauce from Nat's surprise birthday party on Friday(which I will blog about soon). Of course, there was my favourite butter and garlic rice to go with it as well..I can't believe how good butter&garlic rice taste man...simply adore it..so obviously I had to have second helpings!=)
So we watched the movie while we ate..and I was really happy that I decided to watch it again..cos now I totally understood everything about the first movie..with Dan and Selena explaining certain things to me from time to time. We also had butter popcorn together with sugar and honey to go with the movie..=)LOTR is really such a great movie man..ha..It kept me captivated throughout the whole show though I watched all three LOTR movies before..I need to continue watching the 2nd and third episode again after my exams! We paused the movie halfway cos we decided that the weather was too amazingly good to be wasted. So Selena's aunt drove us down to somewhere near Granville island together with her grandma..and then the three of us took a lovely walk to Granville island to meet them there...

We've reached Granville Island after a 15 minute walk...

Soon after, the sun began to set, and the sky became progressively darker..so we headed back to Selena's house to continue our LOTR movie.We even had Vietnames "chee cheong fan" and sandwiches for our snacks cum dinner for this part of the movies which Aunt Rosemary bought on our way back..ha..Dan and I had to leave early for a farewell party for exchange students...so we did not manage to complete the movie...But I borrowed from Selena the DVDs and I finished watching it later that night..Aunt Rosemary was really nice to send me and Dan to Commerical Drive Bustop to take a bus back to UBC..so instead of being late for the party, we were the earliest there..which was a good thing actually cos we could help ourselves to the food on the table..ha..That day was really a "free" day for me cos I did not have to come out any money for lunch and dinner..ha..not bad!
At the party, they served salads, chips, timbits(small round doughnuts), cakes, pita bread and vietnamese spring rolls.The whole day was super fattening for me la..so much junk food!There weren't many people at the party...and basically it started off with the UBC IMPROV performance and then it was just dancing to R&B music..ha..my kind of music..=) Dan left really early cos he was bored but I stayed on cos my 3 other Japanese friends were there and I wanted to spend more time with them before I go back to Singapore.
