I'm back from Langkawi!
- Saturday, May 13, 2006
I'm back from Langkawi..reached the Causeway at about 8plus this morning We were all super tired from the long bus ride, but guess we are never too tired to say no to yummy breakfast and cheap movie tickets! So we took a cab to Selena's house in JB and her mum was super nice to cook for the 5 of us (Mabel, Chris, Hong Lay, Joe and me) breakfast!American style breakfast with eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, toast with butter and of course tea! After that amazing breakfast,Auntie drove us to City Square to catch "Mission Impossible 3" at 11am, the earliest movie that day. Movie tickets were only 10 ringgit which is equivalent to less than 5 sing dollars and popcorn was also really cheap!!The popcorn also tasted really different from over here, think they added caramel of honey onto it so it was extremely sweet but nice!Really worth it!Think I shall try to watch more movies in JB man..Singapore is really an expensive place for movies especially during the weekends..so anyone up for it can just organize and ask me ok?
Loved M:I:3 so so much!haha..me, chris and hong lay kept laughing throughout the show..not out of digust but really pure enjoyment la..and I realized after the movie that Mabz and Sel were also gushing at the extremely gorgeous guy in M:I:3..of cos not Tom Cruise la, but rather one of his partners..yes none other than Agent Declan acted by Jonathan Rhys Meyers! He looked strangely familiar and then when I was researching about him on google, I realized he was actually that gd-looking coach in "Bend it Like Beckham". My neighbour char kwa simply adores him if I remember correctly and I can totally see why man.I will just faint if I have a bf who is as charming as him..haha...sounds really bimbotic but well it's true!
We also spent like about two hours shopping at City Square before heading back home..At the customs, Hong Lay got stopped for bringing in like 5 tubes of chewing gum. She was really unlucky man...but luckily she did not need to pay a fine la..just had to leave the gum, record her name and IC no. and she could go. I really don't understand the logic behind S'pore's law of being able to chew gum but yet not purchase gum from Malaysia. It just does not make sense, at least to me..
A really long day coupled with a serious lack of sleep but I'm happy.=)This trip turned out to be really good, more than what I had hoped for..so if you're interested, read on peeps!
But wait, could not resist finding pictures of JRM to put on my blog...ultimately stunningly good-looking!
