Langkawi Getaway 2006
    - Sunday, May 14, 2006

On the third day, sadly the sun was not out till 2pm so we could not tan again that morning. In the end, the guys just swam in the swimming pool while the gals were all disappointed and sat at the deck chairs to catch up on sleep. We were all so turned off by the weather...

The last few photos before we left the resort..Shots of the poolside..

Last shots of our resort...

At the hotel lobby with our free welcome drinks while waiting for YX to check out..the drink was some sugared ginger water..sucks big time since I hate ginger...

Drove back to the ferry terminal to return the cars and then had lunch at a place nearby. I had Nasi Goreng Ayam with teh bing again while some of them ate nasi padang and chose dishes from the spread below..I did not wanna eat that cos there were like flies flying around the food so scared my stomach cant take it..My nasi goreng was spicily delicious..

Pictures taken after lunch..

View of the sea

A significant landmark in Langkawi

On board the ferry back to mainland..

A really sweet picture..YX and Huiyan catching up on some sleep...

We've reached the ferry terminal! One route down!

Dinner at Marrybrown at the bus terminal..had a few hours to spare before our coach arrives to bring us back to Singapore..It basically sold the same food as KFC but we all found the chicken even tastier..the 5 of us shared 10 pieces of fried chicken with drinks and side dishes..

Sat on these really cool swings which function as chairs...we kept on rocking throughout the meal..really fun!But me, Honglay and Chris had to squeeze onto one swing and we were really uncomfortable man..dunno why we put ourselves in that kind of torture..hah..

More pretty pictures..

Then it was time to board the coach for the long journey back home...

That basically sums up the actual three days we spent in Langkawi...think we spent more time travelling and elsewhere than on the beach...totally defeated our main purpose..so that explains why I did not get that gorgeous tan that I wanted..but nonetheless, I had lots of fun catching up with the rest of them..to put it simply, a great trip overall! The time spent bonding and the experience of life over at a less developed place like Langkawi more than makes up for the limited amount of tanning achieved...
