Langkawi Getaway (Part Two)
- Sunday, May 14, 2006
On our second day at Langkawi, we woke up rather early at 8am and went to Yanxiang's room for breakfast!
Yanxiang and his specially prepared toasts for all of us!The best dao you around man!
At the cable car station..paid only 15 Ringgit for a ride up!
While waiting for YX to buy the cable car tickets, we did what we do best...take more photos!

Getting ready for our cable car ride...
 on the way up...

 Me and radiant Mabel!
 Photos in different combinations...

Then we walked over to this suspension bridge which was really steady..but zixian and dan are slightly afraid of heights so they were not feeling too ok la..Looks pretty scary right?
 Closer view of the bridge
Scenic pictures taken from the bridge

Photos taken on the bridge in different combinations again...

We also saw this furry caterpillar-looking thing on the way to the bridge..Hong Lay commented it must be feeling super hot man with that fur on...=)
The start of our walk up to Seven Wells...YX told us that it would take us about 300plus steps to reach the waterfall so after climbing the steps, we only saw something like a pool of water which gently flows down..so we thought we had to trek upwards somemore to reach the peak of the waterfall..and so we started our long walk in the tropical forest...
There was one part where the arrow sign fell from the tree and there were two paths..so two guys decided to each take a path and see what was ahead so that we could find out which was the correct way. All the guys were extremely helpful, they assisted the gals in climbing up steep slopes or across the waters and warned us if they saw spikes on trees..In the end we kept walking till we realized that we could no longer hear the sounds of water. So Dan and YX walked first to see if there was anything worth seeing and it was disappointing for all of us when we found out that the route does not lead to any waterfall. So we had to walk back to where we started...it was towards the end that it started drizzling so we were really lucky that we were not completely drenched in the forest..And YX said that the pool that we saw was probably part of Seven Wells..
In the forest...

So everyone started playing in the pool...but as I was wearing sports shoes and I was not in swimming wear, I did not go in...really such a pity cos they were saying that the water was really cool and refreshing but I really did not want my shoes to get all wet and soggy la...
Part of Seven Wells...

 A dip in the pool
 Guys in the water...
 Gals in the water...
 Everyone!
 Surrounded by nature
On our way down to where we started, we saw monkeys!
Finally found a place at Black Sand Beach to have lunch to fill our starving stomachs..
Mee Goreng and Teh Bing for lunch...cheap cheap cheap!!!
Truly an appropriate name...ugly black sand...
Quite an ugly-looking beach so drove off after a few pictures...

Drove down to this beach...stopped there for a few minutes to take photos...cos that beach wasn't that fantastic too and there was only one family at the beach...

Eventually after all that beach hopping,we settled down at Tanjong Rhu beach..weather wasn't looking that great so just ended up playing volley ball and captain's ball..was lucky it did not rain heavily though it drizzled for awhile..sadly,no chance of tanning at all..

After some vigorous exercise and looking all sweaty...
It was starting to get late, so we decided to drive to the town of Kuah so that Selena could meet her sister for dinner.
Lovely pictures of the sunset at Kuah

After a heavy dinner at another zi cha place, we went back to our rooms for a bath and then gathered at CK and Dan's room for Langkawi Games 2006 organized by Chris and Honglay. We actually only played one game: The pyramid game of which me and CK won. It was pretty simple cos CK was really fast in describing man..but the game wasn't very fair to Joe cos he and YX picked really difficult categories such as female celebrities and things associated with Langkawi. So obviously Joe would not know local female celebrities or some of the Malay words associated with Langkawi.Of course, we also ate chips and drank the alcohol..we chatted till about 1am before getting chased out by CK. Such a spoiler man..so no choice, everyone went back to sleep.
Worse thing was our air-con was not working and it could only be repaired the next day, so Mabel and I went over to Joe's room to sleep since Selena went to stay at her sis's place. Joe was such a gentleman to give up his bed for us and slept on the coach...Had a good sleep of course...=)Wanted to wake up early for our final attempt at tanning since we were checking out early the next day...
