so many friends' birthdays on the 7th of June!

Yesterday my 3 gd friends celebrated their birthday!!! They are Mabel,Maggie & Natasha!!But I could only spend time with one of them..mainly cos Mabel had her celebration with the rest of Team B at Settler's Cafe in the afternoon when I was at work; Maggie was only free at night for supper but her classmates planned a surprise for her so the jiemeis had to plan for another time; and so I spent the night at Nat's birthday dinner!So judging from reading blogs, Mag and Mabz had a fantastic birthday and I think Nat enjoyed herself last night too since she had me,gerrie and all her SMU friends for company!haha..

She booked a table at Corduroy and Finch at Sixth Avenue...it was kinda like a posh place with nice decor and mainly expatriate customers.Food of course was expensive too but superbly delicious!!I ordered like the cheapest thing on the menu, some linguini with assorted mushrooms with a cream wine sauce.Costs me $18 for that..Tasted great and the portions were huge man..It came served in a bowl..weird man...first time I see pasta served in a pretty deep bowl..haha..But me and Gerrie kept "koping" nat's veal cutlet which was so yummylicious when we got so sick of our pasta!!!Could not resist it..Her dish came out the latest,tasted perfect and was a freaking 36 bucks!!But super worth it I guess if u are going for quality of food...=)

Anyway after dinner,we headed to wine network(i think)at Dempsey Road..It was a super ulu place only accessible by cab or car...but it was pretty cosy to just chill out with friends,sip red/white wine and just chit-chat...I am not exactly a wine fan but guess the white wine I tasted yesterday was pretty gd and not too harsh on my throat..thanks to Nat who treated us wine yesterday,if not I sure go broke man..

I finally met up with Gerrie whom I've not met for one year since her birthday party in June last year!(not counting the time I bumped into her at Dhoby Ghaut Mrt the other day)Sigh, I wish I can meet up with these two good friends of mine from JC more often..which is why we have already planned our next outing cum stayover..possibly on the 24th of June where we will go for some waterpolo competition thingy and then zouk and then stayover at Gerrie's place. Looking forward to that!!!=)

It is really such a wondrous feeling to meet someone you haven't seen in a long time and yet feel such warmth in your hearts as you talk to that person and somehow it feels as though you never missed out much at all...nothing awkward,nothing to hide...I am so glad that I have such dear friends...and it is not about the quantity of time spent together..but rather the quality...so true...
