Chee Kian's surprise birthday party!

As usual, shant go into the details here...I'm too lazy to do that for now..haha..will just leave you guys with photos taken at the occasion. For a detailed description of what exactly happened, I recommend visiting Chris's blog which can be found under "Reads".She is the best writer so far, with the most details,most crapping,most bitching,most exciting analyses of the people in the photo even though they were not doing what they looked like they were doing in the photos etc etc...
This was when we came out with the cake and candles and started singing "Happy Birthday" to CK...It was the worst surprise ever man...When he arrived, he saw everyone of us preparing the bbq at the front porch and then he walked straight into the kitchen and saw me,Cass and Selena putting candles on the cake..Wah best man!!Cheekian said some really bitchy comments like "Oh, I'm so used to this already..."(smug look). However though the surprise failed miserably, I thought this picture (CK giving his extremely pleased grin) did justice to the effort that everyone put in..=)

Of course,we have to give credit to the Food IC Dan The Man!!He planned out what food to buy and how to cook them...for example using what kind of seasonings...Love his huge mushrooms with cheese...considering that I dislike mushrooms alot...In this pic he is bbq-ing my favourite cheese mushrooms,Chawanmushi(yes you got that right!)& sambal stingray & sotong...

And she happily blogged about it...saying "Check out Marilyn Montessano the Bimbo, eyeing Cheekian's glorious birthday cake greedily!!! Damn funny, this pic!!!" She's just taking revenge on me for spilling the beans about who the half-blood prince was in Harry Potter Book 6...ARGH!!I hate you Chris!!!
But I forgive you cos you planned his birthday surprise party really well..of course with Yanxiang's help too la...and you were nice to offer your place for the bbq as well as for the girls' stayover...We did so much bitching,chit-chatting and even karaoke together...Can't imagined that we both ended up singing silly old songs from our primary & sec school days ranging from Spice Girls to Michael Learns to Rock to Mariah Carey..wah we are damn good la..haha...
Think what the girls discussed that night really made sense. Lay was saying that our group was really quite a simple group as compared to other big groups.And our main purpose was always to come out and have fun together,to do things together while at the same time building stronger friendships with each other. Every time we meet up,we always have something planned out be it a birthday celebration or our usual trip down to JB.
So yeah, guess I am really fortunate to have found you guys..to have a special group of friends I can either reminisce about our days in Vancouver or just have a simple meal together and hang out. I was also really touched when Mabel bought for us a bangle each from Bangkok and I received a watch from Sel and Chris who bought it during their KL trip...I truly feel blessed to have known all of you...You Rock people!!!
Oh no, I just realized that I was just supposed to upload the photos in my posting..but guess I have gone further than that so much so that I'm almost emotional..haha..better stop now then...Meanwhile,stay tuned for the Tan family reunion photos!!
