What made my day today....

Midweek has arrived, and it should have brought with it the mundane feeling of working for the money and picking up calls from customers.

However, breakfast at BK this morning changed everything...

Two sights touched my heart deeply this morning.

1)An elderly couple strolled into BK hand in hand. The husband went to order the food for himself and his wife. The husband ate first and then kept telling his wife "This is good. Try it!"The wife picked up her sandwich and took a bite trustingly. Whatever she could not finish, she passed it over to her husband who finished it up for her. As the husband read his newspapers, he told his wife the news headlines and the wife will nod happily.

2)A father and his small son came into BK. The father queued up for food with his son and after getting the food proceeded to a table. The father opened up the wrapper of the sandwich and then put the sandwich in his son's mouth for a bite.As he did this, he said "Happy birthday son!"The boy gave his father a huge grin and took a bite.

Two simple scenarios happening in an ordinary place...and yet it touched me so much..It made me realize that an important part of life is the relationships that we have with people. More often than not, we take these relationships for granted be it kinship or friendship..so today was a reminder for me to take check of my life and start treasuring my relationships with my family and friends...It sounds simple but yet can be a very trying experience...
