Some random stuff during the past few days...

The 19th of August was Yik Ley's birthday and so I msged him to wish him a happy birthday.
My msg: Hey Yik Ley, birthday greetings to u on your 22nd birthday...hope u'll have a smashing day ahead! Warmest regards,marilyn
His reply: Hey! Thanks alot! Really appreciate it...Meet up before I leave ok.
My reply: Haha sure thing,that's if we manage to find a suitable time to meet...=)
His reply: We will we will..Thanks again. I will contact you :)
The past just recently crept up to me again...Somehow Jon and Yik just sorta came back to my conscious memory and I have to tackle with it once more.My cousins Teresa and Angeline somehow mentioned the both of them; firstly Teresa told me she chanced upon Jon's photo in her friend's blog and asked me if I still liked him while Angeline told me that it was Yik's birthday yesterday and asked if I wished him.Why did the both of them happen to ask me about them roughly around the same time?Probably just coincidence....
From the looks of the above sms,guess me and Yik are almost okay with each other already which is a good thing. As far as I can remember, me and Yik Ley never really discussed whether we were still gonna stay in contact or not. So now that he has replied my msgs in a nice way, guess I can be comfortable seeing him on the streets now...
As for Jon, things are a bit more complicated..Absolutely no news about him which may be a good thing cos that will just aid me to keep him off my mind for good until someone mentions about him to me,although I wish there will be some sort of closure between me and Jon and that we can face each other as friends again...
On a separate note,maybe being physically and mentally away from these two guys made me a happier person..as what CK commented to Chris and Mabel a few weeks back, "Marilyn seems more cheerful these days ah?" Coming from CK, it was totally random and yet an insightful comment..Hopefully I'll stay cheerful for a long time to come...=)
Anyway, I was supposed to go clubbing with Alicia and Shirley at Butter Factory yesterday but somehow our plans just screwed up so ended up clubbing with my cousin Jeslyn and her friends Man Sin, Jiaxin and Zhenyi at the same place!I finally managed to experience clubbing at this new place..haha..Though the music was so good, it was a pretty bad night cos I ended up puking after drinking..haha...long time since I last puked man. Probably cos I drank on a relatively empty stomach..but after puking,we went off to have supper at "Yong's Bak Kut Teh" where we almost witnessed a fight..too bad it did not really happen in the end..just a couple of shouting and pushing and shoving...haha...and the worst thing was I wore this top with pearls on it and all of them fell to the ground when I was moving through the crowd at Butter Factory..haha..but luckily, my top still looks nice without the pearls and it makes it easier for my mum to wash the top too..so it may have been a blessing in disguise!
The following day which is today,I did the usual stuff of going to church and then followed by Tan family lunch and it was back home for a good relaxation therapy of finishing the 6th book of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. And I am proud to declare that I have accomplished what I wanted to do at the start of my holidays and that is to finish reading the whole series of Harry Potter!!!Despite knowing who will die and who is the half-blood prince, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was actually pretty upset about the ending...sigh...Will definitely miss that character's presence in the next and final book...
Now that I am done with my little fantasy books, I shall have to start reading my psychology research readings and work harder this semester..I foresee that it's gonna be a very difficult and stressful semester...
