A day at The Chinese Garden....
- Tuesday, February 20, 2007
I'm finally blogging again!Been so busy with so many things...so yeah will blog about Chinese Gardens now and I hope to blog about my surprise birthday party by tomorrow!! (by the way,Marcus thinks I blog too much!ha!)
Spent a hot Saturday afternoon on the 10th of February at The Chinese Gardens... I think only at most 10 fools were there in such hot weather...ha...but the good thing is the place will not be crowded and we can just enjoy time walking in the garden just by ourselves...=)
Some of the buildings in Chinese Garden...
 Statues of soldiers...
I wanted to go visit the Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum badly cos I saw some show about it on TV mobile and it looked rather interesting..so when we first entered the museum, we saw loads of tortoise figurines!!!So many display cupboards full of them!
 Him looking at the exhibits...
 Another glass cupboard...
The pig-nosed tortoise! So cute!!There were so many of them at the museum..
 The radiated tortoise...
 The grossest tortoise ever!
A glimpse of a miniature Merlion at the museum...
 In the garden...
 The alligator snapping tortoise..Scary!
 Some funny looking tortoise...
 Some red wall...
Him and the umbrella...reminds me of Joe holding the umbrella for me!
 Another part of the pond...
 Many turtles in the pond....
The boss of the museum Mr Tan came to feed these tortoises so he asked us if we wanted to try feeding them...He was really friendly..and he shared with us many stories about his collection of turtles and tortoises....Here's me feeding them!
All the greedy tortoises fighting for food...
Totally enjoyed feeding them....They were really strong to be able to bite off the cucumber...so you had to hold on to the cucumber super tightly or they might just grab the whole thing from u....
Him having a go at feeding the tortoises too...
An overview of the whole museum...not a very big place but lots to see...
The two-headed and six legs tortoise...a rarity...this is one head...
And this is the other head...super weird...But Mr Tan is really proud of it..cos he nursed it back to health and it has been living for 7 years already...He hopes it can live for another 15 years at least...=)
 Him and the Merlion...
 A remarkable feat!
 The statue of Confucius...
Me in the photo as usual...
 Him amongst the soldiers..
 Me and some bamboo shoots...
 Cam-whoring!
 Lotus lights in the pond...
 The pagoda at Chinese Garden...
 Welcoming the Year 2007!
Upclose shot of the pagoda and me!
I'm such a good photographer! Simply love this photo...=)
 Me again!
 My zodiac sign...the rat!
 The bridge...
Finally, a photo of the both of us...=)That look of peacefulness and bliss on my face...although the photo was not supposed to have me closing my eyes!!!I just happened to blink and I seem to look blissful...haha...
This was how it was supposed to look like! Now Marcus is frowning...
That's how we spent one Saturday afternoon....rather fruitful I must say...definitely more interesting than just having lunch and watching a movie...=)But he was really nice to accompany me there on such a hot day...Thanks dude!
