Our 4th month anniversary!
- Saturday, March 24, 2007
He brought me to the most ulu place ever to have dinner..haha..we took such a long time to get there cos he was not too sure about the directions. So in the end I had to lead him out of Sembawang Road and get onto Yio Chu Kang road...And he kept me in super long suspense as we travelled...I kept asking him "The place romantic anot ah?" and he was like "You shall see later"..all I knew then was that it was an open air place where there was a possibility of getting mosquito bites..and the sky was starting to form dark clouds, so there was a possibility that it might rain too..haha..Turned out he wanted to go to some place at Seletar Airport to eat....so many turns and unfamiliar roads...Didn't feel as if I was in Singapore at all...and FINALLY we reached our destination just in time to catch the sunset...
It was a place called Sunset Bar and Grill located at the Republic of Singapore Flying Club. This is an except from the website "Popular with locals and expats alike, it has a delightful al fresco area (complete with a children’s slide and swing) that boasts a bird’s eye view of the Seletar airfield. During the weekends, it’s the only place where people can be found in a truly secluded industrial area."

v We were surrounded by greenery...and we could watch as the planes land and take off...it was really quite romantic at first...=)
This was a picture of what's on our left...looks super ulu too...
That's the control tower in a distance...
As the sun begins to set...

Our ridiculously SPICY chicken wings!!!Its spicy-ness was only a level 3 out of a level 10 and both of us were like soaking the wings into tomato ketchup to make it less hot and drinking lots and lots of water too..He was perspiring and I was tearing as we ate the chicken wings, but we kept saying " HOT HOT HOT, BUT SHIOK"...Spoilt the romantic atmosphere already..cos we both looked SO pathetic..haha...The waiter was even telling us how the ang mohs can even go up to Level 10 le..Gosh!!!But I highly recommend the chicken wings la..and if u can order the level 10 one, I really respect you man..=)F
On top of ordering a baked potato, clam chowder soup, and the wings, we also ordered this pan-fried fish,my all time favourite...But the wings were so spicy that its taste still lingered in my mouth after that and I had no more appetite to eat much of the fish..so poor him, had to finish up most of the fish for me...
In general, food was okay apart from the wings..but a tad too pricey for such average food...But it was indeed quite an experience to be away from the city and enjoying dinner while listening to his stories about the Seletar Airbase..and I even got to take a close up shot of this airplane after dinner...
 A funny pic...
This was what he gave me for our 4th month anniversary..He just used the SINS chocolate box and wrote on it..small but significant..ha..
 Our 4th month Anniversary: Memorable....
