The first ever Jiemei Chalet cum Awards 2007!!!!

Behind the scenes preparations for the Red Carpet....Here's the group planning what music to use...

The Jiemei stars present that night...All dressed up and looking forward to the start of the Red Carpet walk...




All of us wanted more glamourous surnames so we decided to choose something from Harry Potter...but in the end Eugene started off with "Longbottoms" and everyone also had something bottoms in their surnames which was absolutely hilarious..and everything was caught on video which is highly recommended for its enormous entertainment value and humour content...

Finally...the start of the First Jiemei Awards with its elaborate stage directions and even red cloth for the red carpet!!!!Muahahaha...

And your hosts for tonight...Gaston Longbottoms and Maggie Shortbottoms!!!!


Then we proceed to the outdoors for the walk of fame...First up we have Gaston Longbottoms in his formal suit and a good-looking hat...

Maggie was a real natural host man...asking questions like, "Tell me Gaston, may I know who is your fashion icon for tonight."

Next up we have Engune Tan-bottoms (named after the glorious tan he has)in his charming white blazer..

In his walk of fame, he purposely tripped...and he looked really paiseh about it..The jiemeis are really a bunch natural born actors man...

We then have none other than me..Marilyn Sexybottoms!!Thank goodness I had one of the nicer surnames made up for me..haha..Here I am dressed in a Hawaiian costume...

And both Maggie and I ended up dancing some Hawaiian moves for the camera...catch it on video if u can once again!!you will not regret it!!=)

Following me was definitely the funniest jiemei star...Kenny No-Bottoms aka Bottomless!!

Kenny kept his Bling-Bling in his mouth so no matter what Maggie Shortbottoms asked him, his replies were uncomprehenable and eventually Maggie gave up and told everyone it was too bad that Kenny still needed to use a pacifier..

Next up we have Bingren Hairybottoms (all due to his hairy-ness of course)looking all chic and funky...

and who claimed that Harry Potter copied his name...As Bingren Hairybottoms said," My name came first followed by 'Hairy' Potter."

Last but not least, we have Maggie Shortbottoms up on the red carpet...

Undoubtedly, Maggie has to be the best actress within the Jiemeis, she was super dramatic, super bimbotic and basically just had the air of a famous star...Qualities of a typical Literature student I must say...

The After-awards party...with Gaston as the doorman and bartender...while the other stars mingled around and took photos...

The bling is still in his mouth man..haha...

After the awards, it was time for group games where we split into 2 teams and hoped to win the other team. The first round of games was a night trail around Changi Village where we had to solve clues then proceed to the places to take photos as proof...

Breakfast the next morning...

The sumptuous spread prepared by Gaston!!We had seafood spaghetti, and an all-American Breakfast which includes sausages,ham,bread,eggs,juice,milk and tea.It was absolutely yummy but too bad I had bad stomach cramps if not I would have eaten more...



Our steamboat dinner on the last night..Everyone was reunited again cos Felicia came by after her work...so there were 9 of us excluding Ah Ben...This actually reminds me of the jiemeis' favourite drama serial "Zhen Qing" man....


Of course we had to take loads of photos when all of us finally reunite cos it's quite rare to have everyone around at the same time...So here's my favourite Jiemei Dang photos in colour,black and white and monchrome modes...=)

Trying to make it look like some ancient family portrait..And we are seated according to seniority where the oldest get to sit on the sofa..

A lot of work was put into organizing this Jiemei chalet cum awards and I like to specially commend Gaston for taking charge and planning most of the details of it...It was truly a success and I am sure everyone enjoyed the time spent together.We have definitely strengthened our bonds within the jiemei dang and come to know and understand each other better..Looking forward to many more years of sister-ship yeah...Love ya all sistas!!!!
