2 things....looking Malay and like someone else....

2 funny things happened to me this week....
Last Monday during Primary One registration, this grandparent came to the school to submit some documents which he got from MOE. As soon as he saw me, he started talking to me in Malay and when I appeared clueless and said "Ta tao ooh", he then turned to another staff in the room and spoke to him in Mandarin. That was when I realized he could speak Mandarin so I started to help him with his enquiries by conversing in Mandarin too...He kept laughing and said "Sorry!I thought you were a Malay, that's why, you look like a Malay la". It was so funny...And I was telling Maggie how can I look Malay? I felt I wasn't so tanned anymore, so I had no reason to look Malay..but still I got mistaken for one...Hmmm..Probably it's my other features la...
Last Wednesday when I went for choir practice in church, this girl suddenly came up to me in the toilet and asked me "Are you Royston's daughter"? I smiled at her and said no...I think it's really weird if you just go up to someone thinking that person is someone you know or someone have seen before but it turns out you are wrong...It's super embarrassing..haha..but at least after she asked me that, she went into the cubicle and I did not see her after that...I guess I have a very common face, I look like a lot of people, as some of my friends always comment I look like another friend of theirs...For example, I have been told I look like very much like my cousin Teresa, my CSS friend Audrey and a whole lot of other people....Boring....
I am in NUS right now accompanying my dearest boyfriend.While I am surfing the internet and watching DVDs, he is studying hard for his test...Had breakfast in the newly opened Arts canteen..It's super huge man...ha..I ate my favourite bee hoon with one hashbrown, one chicken nugget and an egg from the breakfast stall plus my favourite milk tea of course. Looking forward to my all time favourite Yong Tao Foo laksa for lunch..Yummy!!Been waiting for it for so many months now...Can't wait!!
